I find it insulting to women everywhere how weak society thinks we are. You think we can’t handle a few boob jokes? You think we need you to come running to our defense? We are strong, capable human beings who can do anything that guys do, including taking jokes at our expense. It doesn’t make me antiwomen or sexist to find Seth Macfarlane funny. It means I’m strong enough and MAN enough to laugh at myself and other women. It means I respect the woman in Hollywood for their ability to do amazing things, remain respectful to themselves, and not take themselves too seriously.
Our society has become overly sensitive. We think we need someone to constantly hold our hand and make everything right for us. The fact that the woman involved in the, We Saw Your Boobs song had a sense of humor about it, shows how strong they really are. We aren’t children, we are adult, human beings just like men. Some of us are MORE offensive then men. Real women won’t find last nights award ceremony as vulgar or trashy. We see the humor in it, we respect Seth Macfarlane for taking the risk, and we applaud our fellow women for being classy about it.
Something is only offensive if you let it be. Something is only sexist if you let it be. You are only weak if you let them bring you down.
